The Society holds a unique collection of local Postal History from 1662 through to the 1990’s this is stored in the Portsmouth City Archives. It is available to the Society as and when requested. In addition the Society holds a five volume record of good quality photocopies of each letter, both inside and outer markings, in many cases there is also a copy of a typewritten transcripts. These volumes are of immense interest not only to philatelists but also local historians and genealogists. They are available to members on loan.
